The Needlepoint Joint

unnamed-2unnamed-3On a recent trip to Ogden, Utah, for the first time in my life, I wanted to take up needlepoint. And if I lived near The Needlepoint Joint, I’m pretty sure I would.

When you walk into this beautiful place, first you are greeted with some of the most beautiful woodwork you will ever see. Apparently a local carpenter built the entire shop, floor to ceiling, with perfectly crafted wood shelves and display cases. None of the people in our group are necessarily into yarn, thread, and notions of all sorts, but we ended up spending time in this place as though we were! Karen, the young lady we spoke to, was as enthusiastic about her craft and wares as you can possibly imagine. (All I kept thinking was, gosh I wish my friend Pat was here!)

The Needlepoint Joint is located on Historic 25th Street in Ogden which was one of the highlights of our 4-day trip. We were only able to visit 4 places on the street and each one was a delightful experience!

There will be more than one 5 Heart Rating coming from Ogden and I am so happy I didn’t listen to people when they questioned my desire to visit this wonderful city. I think the locals in other more tourist-oriented places are missing out on this charming town.

For more information about The Needlepoint Joint visit their website. And if you can’t make it Ogden soon, they will happily ship to you! Hope you enjoy the pics, compliments of my dear friend, Melanie!
