It’s Not About the Yoga Trip to Nashville, Tennessee

This was a great trip for foodies, music, and nature-lovers, and especially for those interested in things off-the-beaten-track ! We practiced Yoga every day. As usual with these trips, no details other than the destination and what to pack are revealed in advance. Just show up prepared to be fully present and enjoy yourself! The featured photo here is edible sunflowers from Leipers Fork farmers market. That’s right edible!! If you visit the Nashville area there is so much to see and do in the surrounding area. The farmers market in Leipers Fork is unique in that it is still very small with maybe 15-20 stalls featuring local fresh produce, handmade canned foods and wares, and live music. What I find interesting about the market is that although it is quite small, you may want to buy something at every single vendor. Not kidding!

Our group visited at Christmastime so we got to enjoy the holiday lights at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. What a sight! Also be sure to experience at least one of the gorgeous nearby parks, waterfalls, streams, and hikes. Tennessee knows what they’re doing when it comes to the outdoor experience and people revere nature. I have been on numerous hikes and still have not seen one piece of trash anywhere.

The “Bonut” from Biscuit Love featured here got its own 5 Heart Rating!!

Also recommend a day in Franklin, just 20 minutes south of downtown Nash where you will definitely want to tour the historic Ryman Auditorium. Better yet, see a show there. First 7 rows if you can get a ticket!!
